Installation Tips for Pet Owners
- Always use Geo fabric underneath. The weed barrier fabric beneath the turf helps with drainage and keeps the base layer clean and stable long-term.
- Use a compacted gravel or road base sub-base rather than soil — it drains far better and won’t compact into mud over time.
- Slope the area slightly (1–2% gradient) away from the house to encourage liquid to drain away from structures.
- Clean regularly. Remove solid waste promptly and hose the area down at least weekly. An enzyme-based cleaner like TrueEco breaks down urine at a biological level and eliminates odour rather than just masking it.
A Note on Heat and Queensland Summers
